History

In 1964, after a tragic accident claimed the lives of two young men, people in Chouteau County started giving memorials in the names of their loved ones to purchase an ambulance and establish a service. By 1967 the service had its first ambulance - a 1956 Cadillac. Today the service continues as a memorial service (funded by donations) with two ambulances and staffed by volunteer EMT's. The service renovated what was the tire shop on the corner of Main and 15th St, and this is our new home. The facility allows us to manage all of our operations under one roof; responding to emergencies, serving the community, training, storing supplies and equipment.
